Fire Services in Tripura

The first fire station was started in Tripura in the year 1957 in the garage of the then SP of Tripura. The personnel of the fire station were trained by the West Bengal fire service and after that from 1959 onwards the fire station of Tripura started to function as an independent organization. There are a total of 35 fire stations today in Tripura with more emerging in the coming years.
